Singing and listening to songs and stories is important in the development of any child. In the field of ASD it is even more important because it aids to the development of speech. It is unfortunate that the parents begin to exclude children songs and replace them with popular ones. Popular songs and stories though do not hold the properties of children songs, which have repetitive words, repetitive sounds and easy melodic lines. Traditional and popular songs and stories will be available on the applications with a sensory appropriate visual stimulation to enhance understanding of the songs and increase cognitive attendance


Throughout the design process, the screens are kept minimalistic (in terms of graphics and animations) in order to assist the child with autism to focus on the task at hand. Furthermore, the excess use of graphics or moving objects may deter the user by making him or her feel stressed and uneasy.
